Motorola Services Contact?

Here's an interesting twist. I've imported and synced my contacts with a Desktop Outlook client (I know, I know - i need to move to the cloud...) and now my contacts are all in my phone and very nice. But they are listed as Motorola Services Contact. It's not associated with an "Account" such as Gmail or Yahoo. So any time I add a new contact to my phone, Motorola Service Contacts are not one of the accounts I can use. I am only given the option of Gmail and Yahoo. And I don't want to store them in either place. Any idea how to fix this without duplicating? This is a PITA. Help!
