This assumes you are starting with a Sprint SPH-L720T with Lollipop 5.0.1 OD2 full stock ROM, rooted with TWRP Recovery, with no stock files or apps deleted.

1. Use a file manager that can access cache to copy update.zip to the external SD. Why? Because in OD2 apply from cache is deprecated. Why does the OTA download it to cache? Ask Samsung and Sprint...
TWRP has a file manager that can copy it.
2. Launch SuperSU and use its Full Unroot option.
3. Boot to Upload mode.
4. With Odin, flash L720T_OD2_Stock_Recovery.tar.md5 in the PDA slot, with the Auto Reboot box checked.
5. Power off then boot to stock Recovery and apply zip from external SD.
6. Reboot and wait for update to all finish then tap Ok.
7. Boot to Upload mode and with Odin flash twrp-2.8.4.0-jfltespr.tar in PDA slot with Auto Reboot *unchecked*.
8. Remove the battery and unplug the USB cord. Put the battery back in and boot to Recovery mode or TWRP may get replaced with stock recovery.
9. Use the reboot function in TWRP, it will ask if you want to install SuperSU to root. YES YOU DO. (Otherwise you wouldn't be doing all this, right?)
10. Update SuperSU at the Play Store and install/update Busybox too.
11. Copy twrp-2.8.7.0-jfltespr.img to the external SD then once again power off and boot to recovery to use TWRP to install it using the Images button, tap the Recovery circle, not the Boot one. Can also put it on a USB drive and plug it in with a USB OTG cable, but then you have to mount that in TWRP.

Now you're all updated. Enjoy the new startup music and the lack of your phone constantly pestering you about the latest update.

Same procedure to apply the OH1 update which includes the Stagefright fix.

TWRP Manager still not working. It fails to detect that Busybox (free version) is installed and still stops dead at 9% downloading TWRP 2.8.7.0, so boot to TWRP Recovery to update it.
