XPRT stuck on motorola screen

I've got a Motorola XPRT Stuck on the Motorola Boot Screen, it was attempting to update to Gingerbread, and locked up, after powering off and back on, it got stuck on the motorola screen, I've done a hard reset, and cleared the cache. I also tried flashing the gingerbread rom from the sd card, which fails out halfway through it. Can anyone suggest anything that might help? Thanks!

load stock rooted rom on the sdcard and give flashing that a try, you are eclair right?
