I have a 64gb Class 10 Ultra Sandisk MicroSD card in my Samsung S3. I've been using the card mostly without issue until recently.
I have discovered that I am unable to play video files that are copied from my laptop onto my external phone memory. The videos play fine when I copy them onto the phones internal memory.
I subsequently read somewhere that reformatting the SD card can solve this issue but I am unable to reformat it either via the phone's inbuilt software or when connected to my laptop via a card reader.
Furthermore, anything I 'delete' off the card (files inside the DCIM folder for example) just reappears minutes later.
When I opened the contents of the SD card when connected to PC via card reader, I saw an Android.Secure folder containing data for various apps.
I have moved apps onto the SD card before but have since stopped this practice as many of them began to corrupt one by one and refusing to open (which I reinstalled to the internal memory).
So what's going on here? All the issues with my phone seem to be in some way related to the SD card and I don't know what to do. I want to run a full formatting of the card and get videos playing on it.
Any help would be appreciated.
