Wireless speed

Not really sure where the problem is but when I do a speed test at home on my phone I get around 2.5 down and about 800k up. And I just tested it at another location not at home and got 8.5 down and 7.0 up.

When I test me connection on my pc at home I get much higher than 2.5 as we have a 10meg connection. But its not on wireless.

I have a Cisco m20 router that is set to mixed mode

your bandwidth is going to go up and down...but on my inspire I see 10m most of the time on my 10m connection @ home

I do understand that it will go up and down on wireless but I never see over 2.5

I guess I am going to gave check my internet connection bandwidth to make sure its all good.

I have a 15/mbit connection at home and get 8-10 through the Inspire. Every browser I have tried has been crazy fast when connected to wireless

menu > settings > wireless & networks > wi-fi settings. then press menu > advanced.

Is "best wi-fi performance" checked?

not sure what this actually does but worth a try.

I will give that a shot. But with the default settings I was getting 8+meg up and down at another wi-fi location.

I still have to check my DSL provider to make sure I am getting the speed I am paying for..
