I have an stock, unrooted HTC Sensation 4G. I use the built in Wifi-Hotspot on a regular basis without an issue until today.

I tethered my laptop and tried to establish a VPN connection back to my office when I realized that the IP address range I was being assigned by my phone...192.168.1.x, was the same range as my office network.

Does anyone know if there is a way to change the DHCP range of the Wifi-Hotspot?

I'm not opposed to rooting the device, I just haven't had the need to do so yet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to settings/wireless & networks/Wi-Fi settings. After you open Wi-Fi settings click the menu button and select advanced. Here is where you change your IP info.
