Hey Everyone,
I'm looking for a little help here. I received a replacement NC the other day and it had a blue dot. from what I had read I needed to roll this back from 1.2 to 1.1 to have access to the full 5GB of memory. Well I dutifully rolled it back to 1.0.1 and was going to update it to 1.1 so I could root but noticed my computer was not reading the NC as a drive. When I looked at the system info on the NC it said 0.00b of 0.00b available for the memory?!?

I have subsequently tried to reinstall 1.0.1 several times thinking maybe there was just a hiccup in the rollback but every time the NC reads 0.00b of 0.00b

any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Haven't ever heard of that before, strange. Is there any way you can get another one from B&N or wherever you got it from? Also did you try the interrupt boot cycle thing? You can find it on the forums here. I don't remember the exact number of times you have to reboot to get the NC to re-install itself to factory defaults but it's here somewhere. I think it's like seven or ten times you have to reboot the device and then turn it off in the middle of the boot cycle. Search the forums. Hope that helped some.

I had done the "hold the power button and the N button" to force a re-instal but that didn't work. last night on a whim I did the 8X power up interrupt and that at least got me back to 1.2 showing the 1gb of memory.
