0 items showing when google nexus 5 connected to computer

[AC Question]

On Windows 7 hOME PREMIUM when I connect my phone(Google nexus 5 with Android ver 6.0.1) to the computer, it's showing as "0 items".Sometime back I can able to view files (pics,videos etc) in computer.

When you plug it in, pull down your notification shade. On there should be a persistent notification that indicates it's charging. Tap that, then select file transfers, this should allow you to browse files and copy to the phone.
