Probably not. My technology ecosystem is set up for Apple. Plus, not being able to EASILY send anyone in my family videos via text message is a show stopper for me. While the hardware of the phone is way better than my iPhone 5 was (can't speak about the 6) the UI and software, in my personal opinion, is garbage. I while bide my remaining time with the S5 and return to the Apple mothership following the end of my contract with Samsung. Lol.
Your comment is also funny to me, "die hard Android fan." I don't ever want to hear you can me a fanboi.
Not a fanboy as much as I am a realistic consumer who loves electronics and actually researches devices and talk to ppl about them to see what's the experience like if I can't spend enough time with a device myself.
I've only pointed out the obvious, nothing I've stated has been opinion based, but actual fact about the iPhone 6 n 6+. If you enjoy apple products enjoy it. Hell, I'm buying my wife an iPad for Christmas because she enjoys the experience of an iPad over an android based tablet. I myself have enjoyed Samsung products more then others so until I find a product I like better, I'll keep championing the products I enjoy.
