10.1 vs transformer. Same or should I go Ipad?

Well, i have had a 10.1 since early in the release, and ran into only a few of these issues before i updated to the 3.2 firmware. I have had some issues with the browser as well.

When you talk about the back button not working without multiple presses, i have the same issue on some websites. I have tracked it down to a possibility that it is caused by a flash based ad on the page. These ads tend to update the whole page sometimes, so when you press the back button, it has to be done numerous times to get the page to actually return.

With the browser not loading or hanging, this is going to be a given when they are trying to use a mobile browser on a tablet. These browsers on the market all have the same issue, they are more of a lite version, instead of a full on desktop version.

This is due to memory issues and such, so it is really hard blame the hardware, as it is quite capable to run any software as needed, it is just the Honeycomb OS. A bastard operating system that is more mobile instead of tablet. Ice Cream Sandwich is supposed to solve a lot of issues, but will Samsung give us an update for the Tab 10.1 or not?

I dont do that for individual pages i read or i would have a pile of open tabs on some threads that are 30 pages long. Wife ran into this today and this really was bought for her. She is back to the old ipad over it as sometimes it takes 5 or 6 hits of the back arrow, and sometimes 10 and then it flies back 5 pages prior.. Does it now in both dolphin and the task browser consistently. I'm leaning more to just returning it if i can or sell on kijiji... Ridiculous for 450$

Someone else posted about this and yes, the reason it takes you 4-5 times to go back a page, or if you hit the back button it just refreshes is because of the ad killer that task has built into the browser. you can flash a .zip that can remove this feature so the browser will go back when the back button is hit, but you will have flash ads again.

Just gotta research man, not complain.

I've had my Tab 10.1 for about a month. I've used both the built in browser and Dolphin HD and have had zero problems. The entire device has been pretty much flawless.

For that matter, I never had any problems with my Android phone, either, but that's an HTC device, not a Samsung. GMail, Exchange and other email accounts work pretty much flawlessly, and never disappear.

I don't know what you've done, but the problem isn't the device, really.

Same, I have had zero problems with Gtab 10.1,I actually bought my brother one for Xmas. Just waiting for ICS to really see this thing in beast mode.

I recently rooted mine, flashed CM9 ICS on it and it is so slick!! I couldn't stand having ICS on my galaxy nexus and not the 10.1..Samsung makes great hardware but they are a disgrace when it comes to keeping their devices updated....
