I checked it out yesterday..looks like you have to be a student?? How is this deal good for others?

This might help you if you want to register on studentrate without an .edu email...I saw this on Fatwallet - When you go to register just click the box that says your a family member and then enter the email address "of the student" as customer@studentrate.edu. Just use that email and they will activate your account.

I just saw that you can get the HTC HD7 for FREE, today's the last day though.

rldev I think you have to be getting a new phone to get the 10% discount added to your acct but I'm not sure and I think it does add 2 yrs to your contract.

No, any extension doesn't tack on to the remainder of the balance of your current contract. It just restarts those two years from the new date.

Ex: First contracted started on 4/29/11 and ends on 4/29/13. You did a rate plan change which extended your contract two years from that date, so it now starts on 5/26/11 and ends on 5/26/13.

Seems to have worked. Reps were nice. I gave code and myfullname@studentrate.com. I then contacted info@studentrate.com so they can verify it. Make sure to be nice. Referring to their first name nicely works wonders.
