10%? / Should I stay or should I go?

The SG2 should be dropping as an LTE device. Problem is nobody knows when the release date is. If you can't wait pick up the Bionic if you can wait a couple months I'd hold off for the Galaxy S 2.

I agree with you that its going to be LTE, but unless they confirm something before I get myself a Bionic, I'm definitely choosing the Bionic. If nothing else, Samsung would be smart to announce it as a 4g phone...build the hype, make people choose...

Samsung isn't going to miss out on the largest selling point this year...

By that time you might as well just wait for what will be out around blacl friday and I wouldnt get your hopes up on it having lte. All the testers are saying it won't.

It's releasing in Canada July 21st so the US launch is not that far off. An August rollout is looking probable. In regards to LTE, the little birdies said it's definitely LTE. I'm not going to sign off on that but I wouldn't doubt if the info turned out to be right. Phandroid just picked the rumor up as well so I'm inclined to think there is some truth to it. We'll see.

Can't imagine Verizon releasing the most highly anticipated handset of the year as 3G. That would be idiotic.

Lol it feels like i am going to have this droid forever but I don't want to settle.

smart man :) play your cards wisely. Don't be impatient. If you have your sights set on a couple other things wait it off. The newness and excitement wears off real quick when you settle.

Worse case scenario you end up like me. Sitting on an upgrade for over a year lol. We share something in common, I won't settle. The hype beast never gets his claws in me. I've been in the game too long and have become jaded :)

If you have no plans of getting this phone then why are you on this forum? I'm just curious not being an ass I was Jw.

I was answering goliathvinces question and I enjoy certain pre-release threads/forums. I have an interest in this phone because I have been a fervent follower for over a year now. I also was a huge Motorola fan so I enjoy talking about them and their products. Just because I'm not buying it doesn't mean I still don't have an interest in the topic.

Thats what these forums are for. Discussions/Debate/Sharing of ideas/Sharing of info/Learning/Hearing opposing views/Ranting/Venting about tech.

When the handset is released I'll move on to the next thing that interest me and on it goes. Pre-release threads and forums are excellent for discussing product. Everyone gets to share their opinion and whether we agree or disagree its interesting conversation. At least I think it is.

As long as we are all civil to one another there's no reason we can't all coexist. We don't have to agree to get along. I respect you just the same.

The original galaxy was that way to and look how the us carriers crippled it by each lacking a feature the other had. Just saying I can see Verizon dumbing it down like the charge and fascinate. I mean tthe charge is droid branded and they gave it low ram seems a recurring theme with samsung phones on verizon. Just saying I hope they don't do that with the function but with the iphone 5 I think Verizon will since they are in bed with apple and we all know the apple Samsung lawsuit.

No idea why they would have Samsung remove half the memory. I mean what would justify that?

Doesn't make sense. If anything they will cripple it by removing NFC. Removing RAM though? I can't see that happening.

I wonder if the SGSII will be a candidate for a second generation LTE antenna. Being .33 inches in depth I don't see how they'll fit the LTE antenna. But if they have a newer thinner antenna then it could certainly be a possibility. In which case, I'd assume a September release, like the SGSI.

Sept seems plausible to try and go head on with the iphone 5. If it has lte it will be interesting for sales of both.

I agree, I do not see Samsung selling an LTE competitor to the Charge which has been selling so well and spend all the money on releasing a new device when they can wait a while and let the Charge teeter out. Sept sounds like a plausible time for it's release.

As of right now, I am still looking forward to the Bionic. (Note: I will still have an extra upgrade I could always cash in if it ends up being awesome LOL)
