$100 of new Moto phone if Maxx doesn't get JB

I'm sure most of you have heard about this, but Motorola is promising to update all of their phones from 2011 onward to Jellybean; if they don't for your particular model, they'll give you $100 for it when you buy a new Moto phone with JB.

There is no reason why the Maxx shouldn't and won't get JB.

On the flipside, If you have a Bionic, then chances are good, yes.

Can probably sell the same phone for more than $100 and not be stuck with a Moto only choice.

I don't want to give up my Maxx for a new moto. I have the lapdock (which I love) and unlimited data w verizon. If i switch to a new phone VZW will take away my unlimited plan... However I did sign up for the free insurance policy. I guess $100 of a new phone is better than a kick in the eye- argh

I sure hope MAXX gets JB but I read Verge article to say it won't (hope I miss-read). If it doesn't, then Moto is kidding itself that my disappointed butt won't jump to Samsung.
You know my wp7 Trophy at least got 1 major update and 2 patches in the 8 months I had it...so far MAXX has one flawed (IMO) update in the same amount of time...no question MAXX is better device but its disappointing still.

The Verge updated that article, saying now that it isn't known which models won't get JB. It really makes no sense for them not to update. The hardware is still top of the line, and it's been VZW's top selling phone for a while now.

Oh the 2011 models, I predict none of the 2011 phones that didn't get ICS will get JB.

If I had to pick phones that are scheduled to get ICS, I'd point out the Bionic, ATRIX 2, and Photon.

The RAZR has to be getting JB. Aren't the RAZR MAXX and DROID 4 2012 phones anyway?

There have been issues. And people posting that they want Gingerbread back. The people I know personally that have a RAZR or RAZR MAXX love the ICS upgrade.
