So I read this expering to get info on the 100$ off and of course nothing. First its probably only the 100$ if you upgrade from a feature phone. Second the article doesn't even provide any evidence. Anyone?

I was reading some of the comments on DroidLife earlier and someone called the number and asked and it seems that this mailer is only going out to areas which just received 4G to people that still have 3G phones. So...no soup for me...or anyone else who has been in an established 4G area.

it is customer specific. some people got as low as a $30 discount and as the above poster said, it's not being sent out to all areas.

I read in a thread somewhere that there is a 3G to 4G discount of $100. I don't know if it really exists, but I plan on asking for it.

It's more of a regional promotion, to help promote 4G in slower markets.

I was told by two different Verizon reps on the phone that the only special of $100 off a 4g phone was mailed out to specific customers in the Chicago area.
