I just noticed today the option to select 1080p videos from YouTube is now missing. It was present in mobile networks and in wifi...now all I'm offered in 720p. Running the latest version no recent settings changes? I did search but to no avail

It's a YouTube app bug. Usually clearing cache/data from the app will bring back the 1080p option.

Thank you. Found it after searching on google. Odd. I cleared the cache and went back to factory then reinstalled..Didn't come back. Will try again. Thanks for the response!

I didn't have to go to factory and re-install, I just cleared data and that was it. Keep in mind, however, that at least up until now, every time the app updates, the bug returns. But I've cleared data 3 times and three times it came back on the Note 3, and now twice on the Note 4.

So that didnt work initially...so I went back to factory, side loaded .3 then tried again..nadda, cleared app data then used the PlayStore to update to the current release and bam 1080p is an option again.

Thank you so much.

You're welcome. :)
I hope Google fixes this soon, and adds 2K playback support for the Note 4 :(

Well...this bug is back after updating to 4.4.4 -.-

Cleared app data/cache repeatedly and that didn't work this time.

No ideas? This is annoying. I've reset app data cleared cache gone back to the factory version...nothing works. Tried sideloading different versions too :/

I gave the app a negative review on Google play because of it. I hope Google does something about it. I'm not the only person with this issue - every other review mentions this bug.
