11/21/2011: VZW Nexus (Unconfirmed)

The date isn't what concerns me. Its how soon it is, vs. no stock in stores, LOL.

Razr supplies came in days before the launch. So did the Rezound. The window of opportunity is quickly closing.

Well if monday was just preorders it makes perfect sense since they wouldn't need stock in store for preorders since they would be shipped from the warehouse.

Yes but unless my dictionary fails me, preorder =! launch. That would indicate that launch is still a good week away from that and...I honestly cannot remember the last time Verizon did a preorder.

Preorder does not mean launch. Did the razr launch when preorders took place? No it didn't the razr wasn't in store until over a week later. Sorry preorder does not equal launch. You must not be to up with verizon. They did preorder with iphone 4&4s, thunderbolt, bionic, droid 3, fascinate just to name a few.

The original poster said launch 11/21, not preorder.

....Again, you're basing this off of what Verizon normally does. Has any of this been normal to you? Not to mention I don't think anyone has ruled out the "web only" thing initially, which would solve this whole stock issue. You can constantly try to find holes in everything that isn't confirmed (which is why it says "unconfirmed" in the first place), or you can just take the information for what it is; rumor and possibility, not truth and fact.

Well some of the leaked documents hinted at web only so it could launch and be on the web for a certain amount of time before it hits in stores. You got to quit being such a pessimist and look at all the possibilities.

No Verizon preorder for the ThunderBolt … unless maybe you're thinking of the BestBuy fiasco.

Thanks, Robrecht

Just look at the rezound. Verizon was on a strict thursday launch schedule and never did a preorder longer than a week before the phone was in store and both changed with the rezound being launched on a monday and the razr being preordered almost 2 weeks before launch.

There are an equal amount of people who say w/o = week of. I am looking at all possibilities, but sometimes being a pessimist is the same as being a realist.

Just so we're clear, that document that showed "w/o" was not the only source that hinted at it being web only. That is completely possible at this point.

I think most clues point at the 21st. Hopefully, come Monday, we'll all be able to either buy the device or look at a confirmed date on a calendar. VZW can't keep us waiting forever.

They weren't documents, just other sources that said web only was possible. I believe even Phil had said he had heard that through his sources.

I read the 21st a few times tonight on different forums. Android Central podcast just said no set date yet that they know of ....But all the ppl who said 21 had relatives or friends that were for Verizon. Sounds about rt to me. Me personally I can't wait for the update. (4.0) Second Q or before , of 2012 is what I've been told for my device.

Apparently the decision isn't hanging on some "bug", but whether the release of the Galaxy Nexus is going to greatly reduce the sales of the Razr/Rezound (which many of us have speculated for a long time).

If that's true, I think it is rather hilarious, considering the marketing jobs they did with these two phones. The Razr marketing seemed decent at best. The Rezound marketing was atrocious. I have only seen one commercial for it ever. If you're not gonna advertise the hell out of a new phone, why bother worrying about its sales?

K...

My friend says Verizon can ship to store all the way up until Saturday. So...maybe...

Not holding my breath though.

It's verizon you know they don't do the best job at advertising or making that good of decisions.
