[11/23/2011] - MikG v2.61 - Re-Engineered GB Sense 2.1 + 3.0

Re: [7/13/2011] - MikG v2.3 - Re-Engineered GB Sense 2.1 + 3.0

Wondering if it is just me. I flashed the new mikG2.3 yesterday and now I can not get my htc messenger app to work. It sends but will not receive. I installed Google Voice for now but wondering why all of a sudden I am having this problem???

I have done a full wipe cashe, data, davak(sp?)

Still nothing....

Nevermind I fixed it.

I was seeing similar behavior with an older version of MikG which was apparently due to CWM not wiping caches properly. I switched to Amon RA recovery prior to installing 2.3 with full wipes and haven't had a problem since...2.3 has been rock solid.

I have to agree one of the better ones i have tried

Best Rom I've tried so far as well. Stable, super smoothe, no hanging. Battery performance is not particularly great but I'll take performance > battery improvement anyday (within reason!).

Re: [8/9/2011] - MikG v2.45 - Re-Engineered GB Sense 2.1 + 3.0

Thinking about going back to this rom for a little bit. Any good themes out there for MikG?

Re: [8/9/2011] - MikG v2.45 - Re-Engineered GB Sense 2.1 + 3.0

what Kernel is everyone using? I flashed 2.45 with the kernal that was on the d-load site (2.6.35.10-htc-kernal_and18) last night...in all honesty this is my second rom. I fell in love with my first one (warmz2.2) but when installed setcpu- it wouldn't allow me to overclock- which is ok. But then I ran quadrant- the highest i'm able to get is about 900. anyone have any suggestions? So far I REALLY love this ROM. No issues other than that. cheers!

Re: [8/9/2011] - MikG v2.45 - Re-Engineered GB Sense 2.1 + 3.0

I just rooted and I am loving the features that this ROM (2.45) gives me. I have a few questions, though:
1. Is there a way to disable the arrows on the stock keyboard?
2. Is there a way to simply remove things in the QuickSettings in the notification bar pull-down? I really only want 4G, Vibrate, WiFi, Bluetooth, and Brightness. The rest just clutter the thing up and make me not want to use it at all.
3. I'm assuming that when I "uninstall" something like FriendStream, it's really only hiding it. Correct? If so, I'll be stripping things like this out and re-flashing to gain the space back.

Thanx in advance

I'm not a expert so try to ask those questions on xda or mik website.

Re: [8/24/2011] - MikG v2.5 - Re-Engineered GB Sense 2.1 + 3.0

Does anyone have an issue with bluetooth volume sounding way too faint even with it turned up to the max? Is there any way to fix it?

Re: [9/7/2011] - MikG v2.52 - Re-Engineered GB Sense 2.1 + 3.0

Since 2.51 and 2.52 are just patches, you need to download 2.5 first which is the full ROM. The after getting it all set up, go into recovery, wipe cache and dalvik, then flash 2.51. If you want the latest stock kernel, use the "with kernel" version. If you want to use a custom kernel, use the "without kernel" version. Then after that is done, reboot into recovery again (a separate session than 2.51) and do the same to flash 2.52.

Re: [9/7/2011] - MikG v2.52 - Re-Engineered GB Sense 2.1 + 3.0

Hello all,

I have a few questions:
1) Are the insane battery lives that people are reporting with this ROM on the stock kernel?
2) Which kernels are compatible with this ROM?
3) Is Voice-to-Text working in this ROM? Every time I switch back to a Sense-based ROM, my VTT borks, and that is a must-have feature for me. I use VTT daily, multiple times a day.

Thanks!

#3: Nope; still an issue for me at least in 2.45 and I haven't seen any work on it in the changelog since. This was seriously one of my favorite features on the phone, but every Sense GB build I try doesn't fix the issue.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like I'll be sticking with AOSP ROMs for the time being then.

Re: [9/7/2011] - MikG v2.52 - Re-Engineered GB Sense 2.1 + 3.0

Vtt is a gingerbread kernel issue not a rom issue. Kinda like the compass bug.

I believe freedom, and chop suey kernels have implemented fixes for this.
