12 hours of screen on time

I was testing out "picture frame" mode here is what I did:

-I turned off the radios using the "phone info" app, which is similar to airplane mode.
-Screen brightness to min.
-Turned on all power saving options.
-Used "screen on" app to keep the screen on.
-Used the gallery with a pitch black picture(I didn't want to get screen burn in)
-The radio was turned on just prior to the screen shot so that I could e-mail myself the screen shot.

Wow a pitch black screen on a samoled screen basically means the screen is off. The reason why the blacks are so black on the phone is because the pixels are not turned on when displaying blacks.

How do I reset my battery clock to 0? now I'm gonna start doing some real world tests.

Op... Not that you didn't conduct a real test, it's just that I do not know how said information will help me.

a full charge would reset the timer.

On it..... Thanks

LISTEN.... The op tried something new..... He didn't list it as ground breaking info, and just a different test..... Give me a break

I managed this over the weekend.... was a lot of texting, little bit of web browsing, and a couple phone calls. Would say this is about average usage for me so I will probably see this kind of battery life more common than not.

Yeah I don't get why people are busting the OP's chops... sure your average person wouldn't do a test like this; and sure it's not terribly useful to have your phone essentially "off." But, it's cool to know that the phone can last that long with the screen "on." To each their own :p

Ya seems like a useless test as no one would ever do this with their phone... ever.and like I said before to the op that it wasn't possible without everything turned off and brightness at the dimmest setting.

My thread title was clear and I delivered what the thread title said, which is more than what some of the vague thread titles out there. I never promised a new fangled way to get a lot of battery life, did I?

My only point was to share with the community, granted, it isn't something very useful for most people, but not every thread is going to be useful to most people. But that, at least to me, is the point of community. to encourage people to share, not shoot them down if something doesn't interest you (you don't have to be interested, you can always just move on to another thread).
