I don’t know much about these androids because I switched to iPhone so long ago so please bare with me.
I have two OLD phones, both android. I have forgotten both passcodes and would love to get into them and retrieve some old family photos. Several family members have passed since then and I’m pretty positive these phones are going to be the only place I have any memorable photos. They are probably from around 2010 era give or take a year or two. One is an HTC Amaze 4G positive I.D. The other is a Samsung that I’m having trouble identifying. I believe it’s one of the first Galaxy phones or maybe a Galaxy S. I don’t remember and it’s hard to find that specific phone on google, but it’s from the same era as the HTC. I can not remember if they are the type where you draw the pattern to unlock or just enter a code. I think I remember them maybe being a pattern type especially the HTC.
Long story short, we’re 14 years or so removed from these phones, is there any tools out there now that would allow me to bypass the passcodes and at least get some photos back? They haven’t been updated or patched since probably right after they were new. I have no memory of what version of android they are on etc. I don’t mind paying a little for a software or something. I’m very basic with computers but if it’s somewhat user friendly and I had a helping hand I could probably do it (if it’s possible). Thanks a lot guys and girls
