But, your opinion doesn't bother me, you do. I actually respect your opinion, as I wish LG had created a 32GB model as well. While I know nothing of how much cost it would add, I would definitely buy such a device.

What annoys me is you aren't sharing your opinion. In nearly every thread you come off as whining about a problem that you should have expected to run into.

I question, legitimately, why you bought this device when you have dedicated such a ridiculous amount of your time here complaining endlessly.

From my perspective, storage seems to be a massive priority to you, and every magazine, reviewer, and forum made it quite clear this wasn't a device with a surplus of storage.

A user sharing an opinion is welcomed, but don't confuse yourself with that type of user. You frantically complain and you insist their is a design flaw with the device; there isn't. It was intended to be created exactly how it was created.

To be honest, you hardly share your opinion. Instead, you bicker with everyone that attempts to explain to you why this device is the way it is. No one is hating on your opinion.

I already explained why; it was the best device that ran vanilla android. It had an awesome display and a fast processor. At the time that I bought it, there were no better options for a Vanilla Android device.

You can go out and get an Android phone with as much memory as your wallet can stand. Why do you keep insisting that Google should change their business model for you? I suppose that depends who you are. There's a cost to offering more choices. If a company is at the point where the cost exceeds the benefit, removing some choices may be good for them. if there is true demand, that opens the door to a niche player and everybody wins.

Subsidize my choice? Funny! I said they should have 16, 32 & 64 GB Models. I think it is pretty clear I have moved on by the phones I own. Well said! Cheap people have defined this class of the Nexus 4. I am taking my money and upgrading to the HTC One GE or maybe the Sony, I will have to see. See how easy that was! The cloud is amazingly fast here, but in no way should Google have relied on it to replace local storage before it actually was everywhere and affordable to average joe schmoe. Carriers seem to be moving in exactly the opposite direction of Google. I wonder if the OP should also be considering the Vanilla One.

On wifi yes, but I have unlimited data and HSPA+ is pretty slow. Often I did not want to wait for wifi. Once I got my Nexus 4 I used Drive, Dropbox and Box and have not used them since getting my S4. I agree they are there but not really a great replacement for local storage in my opinon.

Yeah the paradigm here is extremely subjective and should have ymmv written after just about every comment. My order of ideal solutions at this point is massive on device storage, at least 10-20 times what they include now, followed by much more reasonable access to cloud services, followed by external storage options.

My main point in this thread is that the preferences of people are of course going to be different, but being offended because a manufacturer made a decision is just outright wrong. They're not doing anything to you, they're making computers. Buy whichever one you want and make a point of not buying the ones that you don't want. Voting with dollars is important, so is educating your connections so they can do likewise.

fwiw, I use a tiny Sansa Clip for my mobile music. With a micro SD card it has 40GB on it. I don't have to worry about recharging the battery every day. I'll listen to streamed music, but have no interest in carry around 20+ gigs of music on my smartphone.

I only need 8 GB for apps, but I wouldn't be opposed to someone wanting a 16 GB Nexus 4. Likewise, if someone wanted a 32 GB version, I would be fine with that.

Choice is good, wouldn't you agree?

The 8 or 16GB choice is more about the number of apps you run, not media storage.

I stream my media anyway. That way I have everything I want with me at all times, but I don't need the storage space. Pictures and videos I take back up to the cloud immediately. Then I delete them from the phone. I don't play video games which can take up a lot of storage. So I usually have 8-11 GBs left over all the time.

If the laptop maker had the option of adding a hard drive for little or no money, and chose not to purely for ideological reasons, you might be more annoyed.

...as long as you have internet access. For me that is definitely not "at all times". Especially inside some buildings.
