I was just goign to report on my findings on the Seidio 1600 mAh battery.

I fully charged it, did my bump charging to brign it to full.

Sadly to report after using so far, I see no differance between it and the stock HTC battery. Even though it's only 200 more mAh, i would think i would get a little more for it. At the end of my work day virtaully the same results. unplugged around 8 pm, by 4am both stock and Seidio were at 93%. at end of work day at 3pm both were sitting at 65%.

So at this point I would not recommend spending the money on a 1600 from Seidio. Will test for another day to see if I get anymore out of it. I have not done 4-6 charge cycles on it to see if I can eak out more from battery yet..

Seidio (and other aftermarket) battery makers are notorious for overstating their capacity. In truth, this battery most likely has less capacity than the stock offering.

I would tend to agree with you, however the Seidio battery for my Dinc did have longer life.

I will run this through a few more charging cycle's to see if I can get better results... but thinking I will.

Well, my stock battery was TERRIBLE the first 3 days. It's OK, now, so I will give this battery 4-5 days before passing judgement.

Same here. Since day 1 I optimized my phone by turning off all the crap I didn't need syncing (backup, stocks, weather), replaced the sense clock/weather widget with Beautiful Widget and set that to synch every 4 hours, turned off 4G (3G in my area is still pretty fast and what I really cared about was the ability to send and receive emails while on the phone which this phone does very well in 3G mode only), using WiFi when at home and at work and a bunch of other stuff. My findings are that the stock battery went from worst to great. I was only squeezing out like 6 hours of up time before my battery would die...since going through multiple cycles of charging I'm now up to 12 hours until my battery level gets to 28%.

Update:

5 hours and 32 minutes - 40% left.

2 more phone calls - 4 minutes.
Watched the 2 hour movie download from Blockbuster (unplugged of course)
checked email - nothing there.

So far this is doing better than the stock battery did on it's first charge - HOWEVER - I didn't bump charge the OEM battery until the third or forth day because I had never heard of bumping a battery before these forums. :)

You need to restart your phone after every charge and post your awake and up time or this does not really help. Because i can make 2 phone calls then leave the phone alone all day and it will last a week....

Menu-settings-about phone-Battery

Please post your up time and your awake time.

Also you must restart your phone after each charge or the number will not reset just keep going up make this test no good.

looks like you used your phone for 2hrs and 4 min.

Right now stock battery i am at 44% with 2hrs and 22min of awake time and i have 7hrs and 15min of up time sense last charge

Read post above so we can compare better

hmmm looks somewhat promising. Bump charging right off the bat seems like a good idea.

Yes it does. Had I known (or had bothered to read these forums prier) I might not have ordered this battery!! :D

I may not need a "second" battery. But if I keep it, I will surely need a battery charger or a second battery will do me no good! :-!

Battery still sitting at 40%

Uptime: 06:05:25 (Changes as I type)
Awake time: 04:49:48

What number doesn't reset? All of mine look like they have reset with each charge.

None of them reset unless you restart but if you restart then charge it the awake time will run due to charging.

Please charge your battery unplug it and restart phone then use it for a day and let me know what you get. As if you are really getting that much time i might keep the tb...

I guess I don't understand what you are saying.

I have had this phone since last Thursday, have downloaded and watched TWO movies, down loaded half a dozen apps, sent and read countless emails, made countless phones calls, browsed the net for Hours and charged the battery(s) over half a dozen times..... and you think all of that was done in 6 hours and 5 minutes, with 4 hours and 49 minutes of up time?

Splane Lucy. :D

ill bookmark this or you can pm me either way id like to know

You said that already.

If the numbers didn't reset my phone would be showing about 72:00:00+ of up time and 30:00:00+ of wake time.

The up time/wake time numbers rest everytime you plug it in and unplug it.

Try that and get back to me.

Per my phone:

6h 40m 50s since unplugged.

Battery still showing 40% (haven't used it since last time I checked stats)

06:42:45 up time
05:28:13 Awake time.

The comparison would only be more helpful if you are comparing two new batteries both on their first charge. And even then, I'm not sure how much good it would do.

I am letting people know (myself included) what I get from the Seido 1600 battery on it's 1st charge -- the REAL test will be what it gets on it's 6th charge and beyond.

I will post that in about 5 more days. I am not going to post EVERY charge as I do them.
