Have you ever emptied the contents in your clipboard? Shouldn't cause crashing, but once it is full, it won't let you copy any more.

I am having the same problem ...

I tried to clear the clipboard, but there is nothing in there to clear ...


Also tried the recovery mode 'clear cache' ... no go .. all apps crash when doing any kind of text copy ..

How did you end up fixing it? I have the same issue and tried what spike tried...

Force closing did absolutely nothing and the only solutions around the net seems to be a factory reset or a work around requiring root access.

I had this exact same issue.

You have 2 options;

1) Factory Restore your device

2) ROOT your device, install ROOT Explorer, navigate to / > data > clipboard, select ALL and delete all, than go into your Settings > Applications Manager > All, look for TestServices, than remove updates/clear data. Reboot and everything should be fine.

I opted for option 2 simply because restoring a device sucks and I wanted to root anyways because I missed AdFree, ROOT Explorer, and could not stand the WIFI Notification.

Essentially what happens is something in your clipboard becomes corrupted by TestServices. You basically have to clean up a mess you did not make.

I have the same issue. I'm running Android 4.0.4 on the Samsung Galaxy sIII. When I try copying text from the Gmail App, it crashes the app. The browsers won't crash but they just won't copy.. this is getting annoying, any solutions? How do I simply empty my clipboard? Don't wan to root, nor do I want factory reset, although I don't even remember fully what that does, but I don't want any resets.
