1st Root

Yeah, I have had the phone for a year and have not rooted it. I want to root, and then maybe PWGB. I have noticed that people seem to have alot of problems lately when I look at the end of the rooting threads.

Is this one touch method still valid? It uses z4root.

I have Macs, but my wife has a PC(vista) that I could use.

I have rooted 2 Nooks, but they seem simpler than what is need for the Fascinate.

I would use odin to root, it is very simple. As for the one touch method, i do not believe that works at all on the fascinate..

if you predownload PWGB you can add it directly from odin, after you have a root. The guide in the above sticky is very good and walks your through it.

Rooting the fassy is a simple process. All you need is ODIN, a CWM file for ODIN, and the superuser+busybox zip to flash in CWM.
