1x only data mode?

I cant seem to get 1x data on this phone. When i go to areas where i normally only get 1x data my phone now just shows grey bars and i have yet to see a 1x icon. Does this phone not support this data type or something? 1x data is better than nothing lol.

It does... my phone has been in 1xRTT mode once.... and I was in a 4G area.

There is a data outage, all over the fourms. Just recently got 3G back here in SF Bay, CA.

Yeah i know about the outage because i have 3g in houston. Im just talking about other times when everything is normal.
