2.1 >how to remove Exchange contacts, leaving only Google contacts?

My Eris just updated to 2.1 (I was going to do it manually, but this morning it told me that an update was available and it did the official OTA process).

Anyway, the official OTA process doesn't ask you how you want your email and contacts synced... apparently using the account info already on the phone. Unfortunately, it seemed to use my accounts but ignored my preferences, because it synced all of my Exchange contacts, along with my Google contacts, but I didn't want my Exchange contacts on my phone--only the Google contacts. D'oh!

In hopes of removing the Exchange contacts, I went into accounts, selected Exchange, unchecked Contacts and clicked 'sync now.' Then I made sure Google's contacts were checked and clicked 'sync now.' But now I seems to have both Exchange and Google contacts on the phone.

How do I remove the Exchange contacts, and leave only Google contacts on my phone, the way it was originally?

Also, under 1.5, Google only sync'ed "My Contacts" whereas the newer 2.1 implementation seems to sync "All Contacts." How do you get back to "My Contact" --I can't seem to find a setting.

TIA, ~john

Yep, found that after I posted the question, but it seems as if the contacts are still on the phone--just not "viewed" if you select not to view them. And the "linked" status is still there in the details of each specific contact.

people>menu>view

I have searched for the term 'People' on my phone and cannot find it. I just got an Android phone. I am trying to unlink two contacts that I accidentally 'linked'. I have found a way to link more contacts, but I cannot find any way to unlink the two that I have.

Any suggestions?
