2.2.2 for D2G?

anybody know if/when there are plans for pushing 2.2.2 to Droid 2 Globals? I know it's currently being pushed to the Original Droid. while most people aren't too pumped for it, and would rather have Gingerbread, I would LOVE to get the 2.2.2 update. it should fix the SMS bug which I am unfortunate to have. and it's a nightmare.

no mention around the interwebs yet. motorola hasn't mentioned updates to any of their devices.

I honestly don't think they're going to bother with an intermediary update at this point. I think they're just gonna wait till Gingerbread is released and do an update then. I could be totally wrong, it's just a hunch I have.

it all depends on which device they're planing on moving to gingerbread first. because their are minimal changes they have to make to android 2.2.2. so if the droid x is looking to receive gingerbread first then a 2.2.2 update to the droid 2 may roll out before its 2.3 update

An update would be nice. But I would wait if they were planning to release Gingerbread.
