I wonder if the zip file will have any significance for the DX, since we can manually PULL the update on the DX, once it becomes available. That presumes, of course, that Motorola will post the file as soon as it is released, which is a bit of a question mark.

Love these stories. Here's mine:
I went to my Verizon store complaining about my phone occasionally freezing for 15 seconds after coming out of the lock screen. He told me that it should be fixed with 2.2 and that it was currently being pushed out. I told him it's not out for the X yet and he said it was...slowly. I said I've been through many forums with no hint of an official update and he says he got a memo stating it was. I ask to see it and he goes to his computer. After 10 mins or so, I told him forget it because he didn't have it and that I'd wait a couple weeks to see if the official update drops...if not I want a new phone (which he agreed to). Oh yeah, he's the store manager.
He did his job, got me out of the store without really having to do much. I don't want to exchange my phone because I have my screen protector on it plus I feel like it's a good phone...luckily the freezing issues have gone away lately (knock on wood). Don't believe everything they tell you though. If we're on this forum, we probably know just as much (if not more) than they do.

That's a little suggestive... You have the official download? If not, how would you know?
all I know is that I just checked and there's no update available. FWIW I'm in NYC and was one of the first to get the last update.
Cory is probably referring to LP working fine under the leaked 2.2 which a lot of us are running. There's really no reason to believe it would behave any differently under the official OTA 2.2 when it finally lands.
Like many of us I'm sure Cory is or has used the 2.2 leak and LP(+) worked just fine. While there will be some minor bug fixes experience tells us the code won't be so vastly different between the two that a program would work on one and not the other. Of course I could be wrong and LP makes our phones blow up after the official 2.2 update...I kinda doubt it though.

Thanks for the launcher pro answers, i love this program so i would really be waiting to update my phone until lp+ was updated lol.
