Sorry to hear that. I mean I know I can download the update and force it, but that feels weird to me. I want it officially sent to me.

I'm suffering here as well. I have been rooted, overclocked, and running custom roms for months.

When the froyo roms came out, none of them run on my Droid. I've been unrooted and back to stock for 2 weeks now waiting for the official ota update to froyo. I fully expect his update to make my Droid totally unusable due to freezing an unresponsive screens. Then I will take it in for a warranty exchange.

I've rooted and put on Cyanogenmod 6-RC2 with it overclocked to 800MHz and the phone is definitly better then before. I hardly get any lag on my phone and the battery lasts me about 4 hours longer.

took mine back for a warranty issue, sent a FACTORY REF. piece of .... to me 2 day air. and they still wont give me any FROYO. instead of paying my bill next month maybe sent them a late notice for FROYO

I know people who got the update last week, people who got it within past day or two, and people who have seen nothing. (<--- me)

So i did it manually, was great choice

The mods here are very very clear that it is exactly the same thing. I am very hesitant doing manual updates to my phone, but I could not wait anymore, so I did the manual update. It was easy ( I followed the excellent directions I found here) it was fast, and it is awesome. No need to wait, just do it.

Finally got it this morning and loving it. Quadrant score went from 355 to 815. Yes!

Man, I still haven't received 2.2 OTA yet! I read that the first 2.2 update is to be complete by the 18th. Then they are sending a 2nd update to allow Flash to be installed via the market. I just want the first update, dang where is it?

it will not wipe anything, all your settings/apps will stay exactly how they were

I'm just glad to see that others are still waiting. I don't feel so alone and left out now. Worst case scenario only 3 days to go.
