As the update in that article points out, he said "by" Christmas, not "around" Christmas. Which really doesn't say much that we didn't know before...

True - but there is also 5 months between now and Christmas - so I wouldn't hold your breath about it coming any time soon

Based on how quick Froyo was made somewhat compatible with the Evo 4G, I think that an official HTC Sense version will probably be ready by October. I don't think it will take until "around X-mas".

i was thinking about HTC's quoted "by christmas".. 3.0 is supposedly also coming out "2010 holiday season"..

is that going to be seriously delayed to the phones too?

I read somewhere that the upcoming OTA update will improve battery life. Apparently the EVO had a similar update and the battery life drastically improved.

Has this been confirmed?

Get over it. The battery is going to charge the way it charges. Those things rarely change. Manage it and move on.
