Please soon haha I can't wait any longer. Reading about it all the time is driving me up the wall about all the new stuff that comes with froyoooo

True - but there is also 5 months between now and Christmas - so I wouldn't hold your breath about it coming any time soon :)

don't get me wrong - I'm just as anxious to update my Incredible as well to 2.2 but I'm not expecting to see it for a few months still

"I don’t think you’re going to see that really long six month, seven month lag, like you saw in the updates from 1.5 to 2.1, simply because it’s a less severe change."

This was a direct quote from the interview. Sounds more like it won't be long

Yeah may not be long. Glad I'm rooted though because the 2.2 ROMs will be way better than the official!

Based on how quick Froyo was made somewhat compatible with the Evo 4G, I think that an official HTC Sense version will probably be ready by October. I don't think it will take until "around X-mas".

i was thinking about HTC's quoted "by christmas".. 3.0 is supposedly also coming out "2010 holiday season"..

is that going to be seriously delayed to the phones too?

I read somewhere that the upcoming OTA update will improve battery life. Apparently the EVO had a similar update and the battery life drastically improved.

Has this been confirmed?

I'd rather they take time to work things out first. The battery charge issue is enough to warrant their diligence.

Get over it. The battery is going to charge the way it charges. Those things rarely change. Manage it and move on.

Sorry, getting off my soapbox now.

...I ready too(for the update to 2.2) , RIM says Google is kinda slow tho , lol :p

It is a long time till Christmas, but look at it this way, something is bound to leak in the next few months. It usually always happens.

wow....htc should stop putting out so many dam phones if it takes them more than 4 months over what they previously stated to get froyo out...
