cm7 is android 2.3 aka gingerbread.
cm9 (which isn't currently available for the optimus s) is android 4.0 aka ice cream sandwich.

Yeah, I'm not a big dessert guy, but I am finding it hard to avoid trademarks. If that weren't an issue, I was thinking 6.x should be Klondike Bar. That would be appropriate as just one device has it for like six months and the rest of us are begging and bribing devs to port it.
