I have noticed 2 new problems since receiving the froyo update.
The first problem is with downloading xls files via the browser. On a daily basis I need to download an excel file for work from a bulletin board site like this. Prior to the update I was able to click on it from the website, and the browser would say it was not able to open it but allow me to download it. I could then open and view it with quickoffice. Now when I download the same file, it is being saved and renamed as a file with a .bin extension for some reason. Rather than saving it as sept7.xls as it is posted, it gets saved as -1.bin or -2.bin or -3.bin depending on how many times I download it. I have tried to download older files that I was previously able (prior to 2.2) to save and download and now I am unable to do so. Any ideas?
The second thing is more of an annoyance, but I am wondering if anyone else has noted it. If I receive a SMS and reply to it unless I close the conversation I do not receive any notification that I got another SMS from the same person. For example, I get a text, reply and put my phone down without closing the messages. After a while of wondering why the person did not reply back to me I look at my phone and find that indeed they had, but there was no vibration or audible notification.
