2 things I want on my E3D

Maybe because I didn't read the manual but I wish I could:

1. Turn volumn up/down while phone is on standby or at lock screen. I hate having to unlock, enter passcode, then put phone on vibrate at the movies.
2. Wish my screen would flash when I receive text messages.
