2 yr. 5 mos usage

Is this about the life of an LG3. It is turning off. I re-set it and it goes. Might as well buy a new one?

2 years and 4 months on mine.
Got the Hyperion 6000 mAh battery right away and still love it.
My son got one a little while after I got mine and says his USB port is a little flaky for charging.
I'm hoping to get a V20 cheap before long. I can still get a big battery for it.
I'm loving LG stuff, the wife got a Stylo and loves it.

Mine is about 2y 10mo, and still going strong.

Mine is around 2 years 8 months old ...replaced battery about 6 months ago and it needed a replacement bezzle 8 months in due to the cracks appearing around the ports...they are now reappearing. The screen is starting to lift also due to the double sided tape failing because of heat.

All in all it is past its best before and has paid me back in full, still going strong though.

I am thinking of purchasing my next phone directly from china.

A smartphone's lifespan varies depending on how hard you push it everyday for the months or years you have owned it. I think anything around 2 1/2 years is average.

Once you start going over 3 years, then you have found yourself a great device. My past 2 devices were used for just over 3 years each and then replaced. They were still working well but the battery wasn't so good anymore.

Maybe it is time to upgrade, do you like the new LG G6?

Wow! Congratulations on your phone lasting you that long, OP!

I'm not sure about an "average lifespan" of phones, but anything older than a year/year and a half is often a good indication that something *may indeed* go wrong with it tech-wise. My G3 was about eleven months old when it started giving me a lot of issues.

Sounds like you're taking very good care of your phones - good on you! Are you looking at the G6 as an upgrade?

My G3 is still going strong after 2 yrs 6 months, with the G4(bootloop)/G5(GPS/LTE issues)/G6(no removeable battery)/V20(camera glass issues/bootloop) all getting Nougat thinking about just getting a new G3 off ebay since it meets my needs. Any comments pro or con?
