2 ZTE Majesty Z796C 1st USB not recognized, 2nd powers off at lock screen & constant rolling reboot.
I have2 ZTE Majesty model Z769C (straight talk) phones,l both have started having a specific issues, any help would be appreciated. Android os version 4.1.2 on both. :-\
The 1st phone is mine i use it to take pictures and download those to my pc or rather I did (PC - Windows & Home Premium 64 bit with all updates, Fresh clean instal no viruses, genuine not illegal etc), These 2 have always gotten along perfect until recentaly twhen the pc would occasionally give me the "USB device not recognized" message, it contiunally got worse until it was every time I connect the phone to it. I have so far tried updating all drivers/updates for all software on both, even contacing ZTE (no help there), I have done a factory reset on the phone, I have formated and reloaded my pc (even trying it before installing any antivirus or other software just the windows os with the same issue), have tried my laptop and other computers with the same issue, & of course different data/charging USB cables again same issue. I have tried the USB debugging on both under settings > developer options on both checked and unchecked. NOTE The phone will however charge perfectly as always from the pc even with the USB device error message has popped up.
The 2nd is my sons phone all of a sudden it has started shutting itself off. When you first turn it on it boots as usual (ZTE logo, blue tracphone logo, then the lock screen) then soon as the lock screen comes up (you don't even have time to unlock it it does it so fast) the phone turns itself off. Thought he migh not be charging the phone all the way(you know teens) so I have tried different chaging cords, differnet wall plug ins adapters, charging it USB from computer, and even replaced the battery with a brand new one. All the charging cords work on other phones, the new battery was fully charged in another of our ZTE Majesty phones and placed in this one to test and it still has the same issue. I have done a hard factory reset (hold down the power and volume up button at the same time with the phone completly powered off etc.), 2 different times (per ZTE) just to make sure it took both seemed like they did and we still have the same issue. Now I noticed anytime it is connected to charge charge (again in all the above situations and with different cables/wall adapters), while it is connected to the pc the pc continually (rolling) gives the windows os sounds that it normally makes when it discovers you have plugged in or connected a USB device & unplugged it. !st it gives the USB connected/discovered sound, then (apx 5 seconds later) it gives the unplugged USB device sound. It does this continually ( I call it a rolling reboot on a pc), when it does this while watching the phone this is what i can see the notification light comes on and is red like it does while charging, the phone screen displays the zte boot logo, then the battery logo loads showing the green line moving, then it reboots and starts this same process even when connected to a wall charger while charging now. It will not stay on long enough to get into any of the android settings or software as I have said, soon as it gets to the unlock screen it shuts off each time when not connected to the USB cableand while connected it does the contiunous reboot, any ideas guys?
