20 watt and 30 watt chargers seem to charge at the same speed

At best it's disingenuous, at worst it's false advertising.

Intentionally or not, they deceived customers. That isn't good from any angle.

It's especially bad given it coincides with not including a charger for "environmental reasons"... Makes it look like a very poor taste cash-grab.

If you buy a car with a speedometer that is capable of reading up to 160 mph, it doesn't mean that the car will actually go that fast. Should you blame the car manufacturer? When you order a ½ lb burger and it comes out at ⅓ after cooking, do you blame the cook?

They have nowhere ever said that the phone charges at 30 Watts at any time. The only thing they stated was the charging speed to 50%, which is accurate by my and others' measurement.

Now that's not to say that they could not have been clearer. They certainly could have. But while they were not the first to provide a charger with a wattage rating that the phone simply could not achieve, for whatever reason, they seem to be the first company that people are targeting with criticism on that aspect. Assumptions often breed disappointment - it's best to go strictly by the performance which is specifically cited, what the phone can do for you against what you need it to, not by a guess of what it might do because you want it to be true.
