2016 Samsung wireless charging dock

Hello,

The 2016 Samsung wireless charging dock comes with a white usb cord and plug even though the charging dock is black. I read that Samsung doesn't recommend using other cables because they say this may lower the charging speed. Is this true? I really want to add a black usb charging cable to match the dock while it sits on my desk! I understand this is pretty lame but there has to be others out there wondering the same thing! Thanks for your help!!!

Not completely true, but you do need a good quality cable and a charger that's at least 2A for it to work. If it's a fast wireless charger, I'm not sure though if it needs a QC 2.0/Fast Adaptive Charger or not, but the cable shouldn't be a problem if it's a good quality one with the right min. caliber and rating.

I purchased the VR experience pack for the S8+ and it came with the AKG Bluetooth wireless headphones. Do you think the USB charging cable for that would work for the Samsung fast charging dock?

The 2017 Samsung Convertible dock comes with a black usb cord.

As long as the input is the same and your charger block is of the right Amperage, then yeah, it should work.
