Dont know if the sprint network is just getting saturated with EVOs or if its just me, but when I speedtest today my 3G is abysmally slow. And yes I tested wifi on speedtest with no problems at 400 KB/s

Anyone lagging bad today as well?

For last 2 months in Des Moines, I have been getting really low data rates (30k down) from 10am to about 4pm. This makes streaming pretty much impossible. I doubt that things will improve much since .....well, since this is Iowa.

Sent from my HTC EVO.

0.62 megs down. 0.10 megs up. on 3g.

whatever. i run 4g at home and typically get about 4 down and 1 up.

There was a similar thread about a month ago.
I too have been having this same problem. Lets see if yours also has this problem, when you run the speedtest app, do you see a PING time of 999?
I only notice really slow data speeds when the PING time is like this.
Otherwise 300-500ms is normal for me and the data speeds are 500 to 1.2mb down and 200-700 up.
I was hoping this was a PRL or PRI problem but i have since gone from 60666, 60669 and now 60670.
Over the weekend my USB Aircard also had incredibly slow data speeds, i pulled out my EVO and ran a test, and it sucked bad. Updated the PRL of the aircard, re-set it and it went back to 1.2Mbs down.
I power cycled the EVO and that too helped speed things up.

I really wish i could narrow down whats up with this.
Doesnt seem to be an overloading problem as i had it at 4am once as well as peak times.
Just my little bit of info so maybe this will help somehow..

I've been seeing < 10 KB/s (3G download) in my area all day, every day (Amherst, MA & on UMass campus). Ping times have been reasonable, though (~ 120 ms). When I force roam (which I expected to be verizon 3G, it gets even worse. The drop coincided with all the students moving back for the semester. 3 miles away my speeds are 1-2 Mbps consistently. I even tried flashing back to another ROM to check. Same story on my wife's Moment, though. I've been travelling & have had slow speeds everywhere (Atlanta, Austin), though not as bad as Amherst. My PRL, radio, etc are all up to date.

I have a support ticket out on this, but dealing with them is a nightmare, and the feeling I get from sprint support is "we don't care enough to do anything about it, so we'll just give you the run-around instead." They are a disorganized, uniformed mess. Good to see I'm getting my money's worth with my "premium data" fee.
