2150 vs 3500 Battery question

Just got my 3500 last night....I must say the cover is top notch. I like the added weight. VERY happy with my purchase so far.

Amazon.com when it was $49.99 ( it's $67.99 now...ouch! )

Ordered July 15th shipped on the 21st.

Ugh ok thanks. Mobilecity has it for 49.99 but its on backorder and there is no ETA on it. I just got my 2150 last thursday but I want to return it within 30 days if I can get my 3500 in time :)

Well I just ordered it from amazon... 63.99, and I had it overnighted for 3.99 since I have amazon prime. Thanks for the input guys. I will report back later in the week :)

looks like the battery life griping days are looooong gone for the Incredible !!!

I'm willing. I just really want to see a good looking case or case mod for the 3500 back cover.

Check my link to my colorlay on my 2150 at the bottom in my signature. I don't know if you're looking more the protection route though. I don't know if they have any for the 3500 either but you can shoot them an email. Just thought you would like to know.

on ebay you can find some "flat back" extended battery covers that come with some cheap extended batteries. For like $12 shipped. I prefer the looks of these so I ordered one to check it out. The Seidio 3500mAh battery will also fit in this flat back case according to others who have it...

First morning with 3500....

I took it off charge at 7:51 AM it's now 6:17 PM

Heavy usage...

I'm at 44%...I would be down to 10-15% EASILY by now....

I tried searching ebay for some of the cases you were mentioning before jayhawk...couldnt find any.

I could only tolerate the stock battery for four days. It lasted 4-5 hrs each day, wifi off, gps off, just texting and the occasional call.
Ordered the 3500 Jul 19 from Amazon for $49.99. Delivered the 22nd. Worth every penny.

I use the phone all day now (0600-midnight)with GPS, Wifi, constant texting and occasional calls and surfing. Gets down to approx 20%. Great form, I like the extra heft and the slightly larger back cover fits my hands better than stock.

I have noticed the larger battery seems to recharge more quickly.

This is what I purchased

for only $12 not a bad deal even for the back alone

(hopefully that link works - copied it from another post of mine and can't verify right now cuz I'm at work..)

Well I got my 3500 last evening and charged it overnight. I am going to run it normal today and see how it lasts. :) Oh if you want I can post pictures of the 1300 vs 2150 vs 3500. Let me know.

Interested to hear your thoughts. Even though the 2600mAh battery I ordered isn't even here yet I went ahead and purchased the Seidio 3500. Just arrived so I'm anxious to get it installed and charged up tonight..

Its amazing lol. Tomorrow will mark one week with it and im not gonna lie I dont know how I managed without it. Yesterday I took it off the charger at 7am, used it all day with texts, and phone calls, set up LauncherPro (that took some time), streamed slacker radio for 2 hours give or take a little bit, used sportpal for an hour and a half, surfed the web a little bit, tweaked LauncherPro a little bit more, and at 11pm last night I had 47% left when I went to bed. Also worth nothing is that I had GPS on all day and Bluetooth on except the hours between 8am-4:30pm (i use timeriffic so it automatically shuts it down). Oh and I also downloaded some music with Tunee Music :) The battery seems to be lasting longer with every charge and the size isnt that much bigger than the 2150. If you hold both in your hand it is noticeable though. My wife uses the 2150 now and I can notice the difference. But it doesnt bother me as I feel its worth it.

So far I'm loving the battery life (1st day with it) but I'm not really a fan of the added bulk and step style back cover :( Maybe it will grow on me. Maybe the flat back door I have coming will be more my style. We'll see soon enough but so far it looks like I won't have to worry about battery life any more.

Did you try the HTC 1500mAh battery off Amazon? This one:
Amazon.com: OEM HTC Standard 1500 mah Battery for Tmobile Dash 3G…

Would that not last you thru the day?

I took mine off the charger at 7:15am and I am down to 29% at 4:30pm.

What do you consider heavy usage?

I have my wi-fi, bluetooth, and gps turned off. I poll for my corp e-mail every five minutes and do get lots of mail on that system throughout the day. I do a little web surfing, but not much.

While it is substantially better than the stock battery, it might not even get me through a full work day.

I expected a much better showing than this.
