Do we have any 2k content yet, beside the two demo videos. Netflix or maybe some games would be sweet.

Sadly Netflix on mobile doesn't even stream 1080P except for Nexus devices :(.

Probably won't see much for the next 6 months, unless iPhone 6 is qhd, then development will get their butts in gear.

Na see my above comment. They aren't even steaming 1080p for Netflix.

Ok then a year + then. Let's pee in the kids cheerios.

Hey I'm just being realistic :). I wish more than anything Netflix would update their mobile app for full on HD. I am a fan of nothing less :P.

I do think though we are approaching a slow period in content development when the industry knows this is the cycle where Apple overhauls its hardware, this year we know little about the screen other than 4.7 and 5.5. If the 6 is qHD I think you'll see an acceleration.

The downside is, there are only a couple devices that are capable of 2k right now, so the focus isn't there yet as the demand isn't high.

Could we not expect the manufacturers to provide financial backing of 2K videos to help sell their QuadHD devices?

Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't think that this shouldn't be expected, or ignored. I am just pointing out that since there isn't much of a demand (based on devices that can handle it) there won't be as much focus.
Now that demand might change as more devices support 2k, however, it will still also depend on people buying those devices.

De-rail: iPhone 6 is absolutely not going to have a resolution any higher than FullHD (1080P). I am talking the 4.7" not the 5.5", just to let you know.

I would be happy if some of the app developers would get their ____ together and make some apps compatible.

I'm looking at you, ESPN Sportscenter.

UHD is 4K not 2K. The demo is true 4K imaging.
