2XL Has gone, got a P20 Pro.

I currently have the S9+, the P20 Pro, the Pixel 2 Xl and have pre-ordered the Note 9. They're all great phones and frankly, I don't think one is head and shoulders above the others in all areas. They all have their pros and cons. Unfortunately the leap frog gains of years ago seem to be over. If I were smart, I'd just buy a phone and stick with it. My "sickness" ensures that I keep buying the next phone though, searching for that elusive unicorn (perfect in all areas).

Maybe someday. Until then, it's off to the Note 9!!

There is no such thing as Unicorns! I have learned this too recently. I said to my wife. Screw spending crap loads of money on devices. I am buying only mid rangers now with the features I need. NFC pay, and decent camera. I am taking my Fujifilm cameras with us on vacations etc so I don't NEED the best camera anymore. I am selling off my flagship collection and moving to the LG Q stylo +. Everything I need, Nothing I don't.

If I was going to go with a new flagship, it would be the P20 Pro however.

That's some collection

So glad you are loving your P20 Pro! Huawei/Honor makes wonderful phones! I've heard really good things about the P20. Good to know the camera is as good as it's advertised.

It's really not. The images are poor. The one thing everyone mentions is low light but that's about all it's good for. Would not recommend.

I really have no problem with this phone, having had the 2XL I think the only slightly better images are if you point and shoot but if you can spare a second or two to get the settings right this is a super camera... Unfortunately for whatever reason I'm unable to post photos on the forum at the moment to prove my point....but this is only my opinion.

I've had my 2xl since around launch. At the same time we had a P20 pro and S9 +. I found the P20 pro's speakers to be too unbalanced. Bottom speaker was way overpowering . Even though they are for two separate things the 2XL speakers were better to me. Not as deep though. S9 has the best sound going I reckon. Also I didn't like the oversharpening from the P20 pro in photos. At times it was way over the top.
Sometimes I wish I still had the P20 pro though. No use having it sit around so sold it.
