3 major OS/Android updates

I didn't watch the whole unpacked but I am now seeing that flagships, starting from S10 will be getting 3 instead of just 2 Android version updates.
Basically the Note 10 plus would still get Android 11 AND Android 12 latet.
Might influence peoples buying decisions.

Definitely cause Android 11 is OneUI 3.0 or it can skip 2.5 till it gets Android 11 with OneUI 3.0

Yes it does count as one, one of the bigger reasons that only 2 updates were even more of an insult.

Putting that into perspective and looking at the update support since the s7 that means that Samsung will have:

3 major OS updates.
3 years of monthly security patches.
4th year of quarterly security patches.

That beats the like of Oneplus who give:

3 major OS updates
3 years of bi monthly security patches.

And even Googles pixel devices who have:

3 major OS updates
3 years of monthly security patches.

About time from the major OEM of Android.

This applies to flagships not sure about the mid rangers .

Not far off Apples 5 years of iOS updates.

Potentially that means my Galaxy Note 10 plus will receive updates into 2022

I don't know about updates. Saw a report of July security patch for Note 10 was released, now I'm seeing August is also released. Keep checking for updates and there are none. I'm still on June security with my Note 10+ unlocked.

If you are on t-mobile, that's the case. Pop in an att or some other provider SIM and you will get all the updates instantly.

I'll try my Google Fi sim, thats the only other one I have. Why would my unlocked not update with T-Maybe?
