3 Questions re: Voice Dictation, GPS Navigation, Optical joystick

ok, question #1
Is there an app that will turn the device on using the optical joystick? I swear I used on the first couple of days I had it but I must have removed it and I don't recall the name.

I noticed when I had turn-by-turn navigation on and a call came in, the gps would continue giving me audible direction while on a call...very annoying and confusing. Can the voice navigation be turned off while in a call? Can the other party hear the voice navigation prompts?

Is there a way to keep the voice dictation recording going longer? It closes after a few seconds of silence. Sometimes I need to think about the next sentence and if I pause too long it closes. Would be nice to have say a 10 second wait before it closes.

PS--Any word on when VZW will release the extended batteries? I've been into a corp store each of the last 2 weeks and they don't know yet.

for #1, do you mean turn the screen on when it is on standby or like turn the phone on when it is off? if you just want the screen to come on, download NOLOCK from the market. i use it. it lets you turn the screen back on with the power, volume, or trackpad buttons without having to unlock the screen afterwards.

#2, I THINK when i was on the phone and the prompt came up, the person on the other end didn't hear it. as for volume, i'm not sure if there is an automatic way, which would be nice. but you can go to your navigation and then turn down the volume before making a call.
