(3) Rezound 2750mah extended batteries + ext battery charger $10

Re: (3) Rezound 2750mah extended batteries + ext battery charger

Many examples of this everyone.

PC World web site pricing error heads for court You going to court over it?

Consumers upset over Sears iPad price mistake - AfterDawn Get upset all ya want, thief.

From my attorney directly. He quotes from the book....whatever that is.
"Case law makes it clear that if a buyer understands that a price is a mistake and tries to take advantage of it then they have no right to insist on the offered price being upheld."

Here is an example where the retailer, being customer focused, bit the bullet and took a hit. BUT, this isn't going to happen this time I think. You ever know VZ to be a company that would do this?:

6pm.com Pricing Mistake | blogs.zappos.com

I'd be very very surprised.

So if they can't bill you the correct amount, the orders will just suddenly be canceled and you can go re-order. At the correct price. Most of you will not because you're trying to get something for (almost) nothing. Most probably wouldn't even be looking except for a blog-post about the mistake.

I would say they would not charge us the real amount, just cancel all orders as they have the right to do.

Re: (3) Rezound 2750mah extended batteries + ext battery charger

The battery deal is dead. It is now one of $29.99 after it is in the cart...making it cheaper than the standard battery ($49.99) ?????

Re: (3) Rezound 2750mah extended batteries + ext battery charger

Never mind. It show AFTER you sign in. Weird!

Also, Standard battery becomes $19.99 (for only one) after sign in.

Very strange site behavior.

Re: (3) Rezound 2750mah extended batteries + ext battery charger

my order just went into queue to be processed.

But here's the thing, when you go to check out it says that the battery is 4.99 but REGULARLY 59.99. Meaning there is no glitch, it is implied there is a sale going on. You can call us whatever you want, Verizon cannot charge us more than we agreed upon. They can, however, cancel our orders. Which I fully expect to happen. I'm going to be calling in a few minutes to sort this out.

Re: (3) Rezound 2750mah extended batteries + ext battery charger

Well I just got off the phone with Verizon. I told the guy that I was looking for confirmation about the price of my order, he quoted me the full retail price of $194 for it all, and I told him that my receipt says $19.96 (for 3 chargers and 3 batteries), he put me on hold to verify what was processed.

I was on hold for about 10 minutes and he came back on and told me that he fixed it for me and that the order is complete and I would pay the price agreed upon ($19.96). So if you call, don't let them tell you otherwise. The guy I got was very nice and he didn't give me any guff. Boy am I excited lol.

Did you call? Is that what you're saying isn't working? I couldn't be the only person who called about this lol. Or are you saying the glitch isn't there anymore?

my last sentence was a sarcasm. Gltich DOESN"T work anymore. Future reference DO NOT CALL ANY RETAILER TO CONFIRM A GLITCH. Your just ruining the deal for everyone else.

Uhh..? I wanted to make sure I wasn't being charged full retail for this if you haven't been following the thread. I'm sorry you didn't jump on this sooner but, for future reference, these glitches don't last very long. It only takes a couple of orders for Verizon to get savvy. I'm absolutely going to call to make sure I'm not going to be screwed over for being ignorant and hoping everything is going to be sunshine and rainbows.

Re: (3) Rezound 2750mah extended batteries + ext battery charger

That would be the ethical thing to do, but is not required. As long as the credit card company authorizes the correct amount, that is what you will be billed. If you dispute with credit company fine, in the end the result will be the same. Send back the merchandise, probably pay the re-stocking fee, or just bite it.

Cmon you people you KNOW this is a mistake because the website shows the correct price. You're trying to justify stealing from VZ.

You think they'll just let it happen?

No, just no. No merchant can charge more than an authorized amount otherwise this is merchant fraud and illegal. I don't know where you're pulling these ideas out of rootbrain.

The reason they become savy is because of people calling them to CONFIRM A ORDER that was glitch. Worst case scenario was VZ try to charge you full price, you call your credit card company and dispute, your CC company agrees with you since you have the receipt and you keep your order without the additional charge.

I'm not mad that I couldn't save $20 on a battery.

If nobody called about this, they probably would've caught it themselves and mass canceled orders. Instead, now we have a chance to beat them to the punch and save our orders. Honestly, I was fully expecting to get strong-armed and had my order canceled.

Re: (3) Rezound 2750mah extended batteries + ext battery charger

I remember when Best Buy had a glitch and they put up the HTC Flyer for $99. Everyone and their mom ordered one, and they didn't honor a single one. There was just a mass cancelling of orders.
The fact that you have to follow elaborate steps to get this pricing to show up this cheap should be a red flag. I looked up the extended battery the old fashioned way and it showed a price of $59.99.
If you pull this off, however, I'll be real impressed.

You can get it now for 50% off. I dont know for how long it will last??:)

Re: (3) Rezound 2750mah extended batteries + ext battery charger

just placed my order for one external charger and one extended battery. $10 total. Confirmation email said battery is regularly 59.99 then right under that it says 4.99.

I'm thinking about doing this...but when I think about it a little more, what am I going to do with THREE extended batteries? I already have two regular ones. Might pull the trigger on just one, because it is too good to pass up. But for people getting three...I know you can, but why? You will never need three extended batteries in one day. Just seems a little dishonest. I know Verizon isn't going to go under for it or anything, and it is their fault, all that jazz. But still...three extended batteries. Whatever though, to each their own.

Re: (3) Rezound 2750mah extended batteries + ext battery charger

You guys broke it. The Rezound extended batteries aren't even available on the VZW site anymore.

Pulled the trigger on one battery and the charger. Receipt says 10.75. Bank is showing a charge of 19.57 from Verizon.

Rabble rabble rabble.
