30 days are up!!!

I have two weeks until i have to return my phone. I was about to go into the sprint store to transfer my number and be a permanent sprint member. I love this fitness widget and the notification bar is awesome on android compared to iphone. But what really bothers me is that when i try downloading a 34mb file over 3G....I can't. If I enable 4G, i get one bar for like 30 seconds and i'm 25% complete and then BAM, it switches back to 3G and stops the download completely.

I wasn't bother by this signal issue at first but now its bothering me. and this could be the deal breaker. it sucks because I reaaaaally like this phone.

A lot of you are returning the Nexus S in for the new Evo 3D. Lol, I just hope you all know what you're getting yourselves into. Not saying HTC doesn't make good phones, but their quality control is about as real as the National Enquirer having legit stories.

Point is, you will more than likely encounter more problems with the Evo 3D than you would with the Nexs S and this is coming from an Evo owner.

Are the problems that bad?

No. Sure keeping a 4G connection at times is a fruitless effort, but I never really turn it. Otherwise I have not had any problems making and receiving phone calls or getting online when I needed to.

This phone is a keeper and will easily keep me happy for a couple of years. It does everything I want it to and the NFC Launcher app with some NFC tags is amazing.

I backed that up... its starting to be an issue for me as well! I am looking at t hat Motorola XPRT, the only problems is that there's not a lot of support for it in the rooting community.

I returned mine. Back to the pre - until they get these signal issues ironed out. It was definitely a deal breaker for me when I couldn't connect to 4G or WiFi with any sort of reliability.

I agree with this completely. Some of us former EVO owners remember all of the issues we had when the EVO first came out. Others who had the original Droid Incredible, and now the Thunderbolt are also feeling the pain of getting an HTC device around the release date. There were so many issues. I don't foresee the EVO 3D not having similar problems. Its just something that we are going to have to deal with I guess. New smartphones are going to have issues. You just have to wait them out. They will be fixed.

Oh lord... Never again. Pre is even worse when it comes to issues. How the hell that phone got passed quality control is beyond me.

Exactly. These smartphones are becoming so much like computers that it's almost unavoidable to not have some kind of issue. Yeah, T-Bolt had a ton of issues upon release. With it being another HTC phone, I wouldn't be surprised if the Evo3D had issues as well.

Besides, I rather take my chances of having no crapware and delayed firmware updates anyday

No problem for me. I have never been able to get 4G on my evo despite Clear showing coverage. I've only gotten connected like three times. Doesn't bother me since 3G is fast enough even when I'm roaming.

So I guess I am safe to activate my Nexus S then :)

Just waiting for my case to arrive.

Honestly though, some of the issues people talk about on the Nexus I've noticed on my Evo.
