30 minutes with the Moto X

You've been saying that for weeks. Why'd you bother visiting the store? Your mind was already made up. Nothing was going to change it.

That's exactly why I visited the store. I went to take a look at it with an open mind and see if it was something that was actually living up to the hype. I think it has a great form factor to it and is a nice phone. I hope it is the phone that you've been waiting for. As long as it suits your needs that's all that matters.

I just spent 30 minutes in solitary with the Moto X. I've recently crossed over the 40 barrier and find reading the iPhone screen to be tedious without reading glasses I left the iPhone and went to a galaxy s3 to gain screen real estate. With the Galaxy s3 I'm able to adjust the font size system-wide and have enough screen real-estate to make it comfortable. The Moto X has a 4.7 inch screen just like the HTC One, however the on screen buttons take up a good chunk of that. There is a large percentage of screen real estate lost when compared to the One when using programs such as chrome or Flipboard. I'm glad I went and looked at the phone in person before purchasing it online. Unfortunately for me a reduction in usable screen size is the barrier that I cannot cross. I was totally on board to buy this phone. I would recommend to anybody to look at it in person before making a purchase. As far as my impressions of the phone go, it is a whole lot more impressive in reviews than in person.

You can also increase the font system wide with the iPhone. IOS 6 does this and iOS 7 takes it further.
