30k Text Messages and Dialer Storage. Oye!

So I have over 30k text messages I'm having trouble deleting. Phone locks up every time I try. So I googled and saw a mention of deleting the data in Dialer Storage. It was greyed out to tried a force stop so I could clear it. FAIL. I still can't clear it and now it would appear it's not running anymore as the force stop option and all others are greyed out even after a restart and even a battery and sim pull. Did I doom myself to a factory reset to A. Restart dialer storage and b. Get rid of all these texts? :-\ Anyone? Help? Lol

delete a couple people at a time. when i xferred texts from my iphone turned out to be 80k+ getting xferred. had problems whenever i got any texts and also had the problem you are having

Are they saved on your phone? If so do a factory reset to just erase all of them easily
You have to do a factory reset from Settings
