Just curious because I thought I read this somewhere but is the 32 gb version only availabe online? So on launch day I wouldn't be able to get the 32gb version in store?

Well I want the 32gb version and will wait till they are available to pick one up. Hopefully they'll be available by July 1st just in time for my upgrade!

OK. The S III 32 GB is "out of stock", according to the Sprint site, and you can only order it online on or after the official release date; 6/21/12. I called my local Sprint store and they reaffirmed the 6/21 date, but that the phones won't be available in-store until 6/23...all models and colors. They did, however, take my info and will reserve the model I want for me. I don't know if that's SOP, but I've been a long-time customer of theirs, so....

P.S. -- Just spoke with Sprint Customer service. As far they know, the 32 GB model is only available online. They will open online ordering again on 6/21.

I hope they have the 32GB in-store on the 21st. I went to BB to preorder but they said they only have the 16GB. Sprint store rep said he didn't know what they were getting...

Sprint occasionally does this stuff. They'll give a device a couple week online exclusive or telesales exclusive or etc etc ..... probably some politically driven BS where each division needs to meet a fiscal quota so these are done to pad internal financial documents.

Thats probably not true at all, but I've seen way crazier business practices.

EDIT - If you've never purchased through sprint online or through telesales, they include next day or 2 day shipping free so the turn around is quick and you're not watching for the delivery man for a week.

I ordered the 16gb Pebble Blue and if they have it in the store after launch Ill upgrade to the 32gb if I am not happy with the amount of storage+64gb sdcard. Can't imagine why I wouldn't b,e but eventually carrying a lot of my tv shows on my phone would seem enticing.

I called Sprint Sales Dept. and asked them when they would have the 32gb online for sale after June 21st and also if they would become available at in-store locations They told me that on June 21st they would ALL be available GRANTED they have any in stock. Hopefully they'll have them trickling into stores! All I care is that when I go to my store on July 1 that I can go in and buy the 32gb blue and walk out. :)

Call her back and say shenanigans. Sprints press release leaves little to the imagination when it says "the 32gb version will be sold exclusively through web sales"

I guess I'll see on launch day as I'll be out at my local Sprint store(s) trying to get a 32GB.
I'll post the outcome in 5 days; hopefully from my new S3.

I went in to best buy on June 13th and returned my EVO 4g Lte and reversed my upgrade, I place a preorder for the 32gb Marble white right there in the store. The funny thing is best buy messed up in my favor when they returned the EVO. When you order the evo you get a $50 best buy gift card, I used that to lower my price for the EVO to like $157, but when I returned the phone they just used it a my preorder gift card for the s3.

Man, lucky u. I went in to BB to preorder but the said that they didn't have the SKU# for the 32GB version; that none of the BB in the area (Northern VA) would be getting them...
