3A XL Size Question?

[Android Central Question]

Trying to decide between the 3A and 3A XL as my very first Google phone.

The 3A is about the size of my current phone (Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge), although the viewable area is smaller.

I worry that once I add a case to the 3A XL it would be too large to comfortably fit in my Docker type work pants.

Anyone find the XL too large?

Are the 3A ($240) and 3A XL ($320) the best phones under $350?

Almost all current phones are too large for my preference.
