Android Central Question

I am looking for a way to make the Google Camera Shutter sound louder.

I have a pixel 3a XL. I love using GCAM, now the issue is that the click shutter sound it make is not that loud, even with volume all the way up. Its fine when using camera handheld, but i usually use it on a tripod for selfie, so I am a few feet away. For that, the sound is not loud enough, esp if there is in the city area, which I frequently am. This is issue is even worse when using night sight mode, since i never know if the second click has occured to complete the capture. I use a bluetooth remote so i have some idea when the normal pic occues, but night sight is hard to tell. My S7 edge camera had a nice and loud Beeping sound, which made very easy to tell. I am thinking of maybe some third party app to make a sound when the click occurs? I tried to use macrodriod for this, but no options I can see.

Another possibility if the camera did a little flash when taking the pic, that would be awesome!

Thank you for your help in these matters.

I'm not aware of anything that would increase the volume, we can see if other members might know.

Yea, I was also thinking if there was any app that i would be able to program so that when the bluetooth shutter button is clicked, andriod make a louder sound. The bluetooth shutter is just an external keyboard i assume, so any app that i can to a trigger app, something like macrodriod. but it cant.

Ti make the sound louder, you'd have to root the phone (which isn't difficult), then find the click file, load it into an app like Ringtone Maker, make it louder, save it.

For a little flash when you take the picture, leave the flash On, not Auto.

The Bluetooth shutter release has to be recognized by the camera app, and most of them aren't written to recognize someone else's shutter release.

Thanks for the advice, I rather not root the phone if possible. In terms of the flash i was thinking more like a quick one to notify me the picture has been taken, no to be on to use used in the picture., but your right, i could use the flash in broad daylight and it would have little effect on the picture itself! Ill definiately try at least that.

If anyone is wondering, I have figured this out!

Used Macrodriod, and the google camera setting.

1. Go to google camera, setting, Gestures, Volume action key set to shutter.
2. For Macrodriod:
Trigger:
User input, Volume up retain previous volume
User input, Volume up update volume
User input, Volume down retain previous volume
User input, Volume Down update volume

4 triggers. (i am sure less would work)

Actions:
Volume change Media 100%, System sounds 100%, Notifications 100%

Play sound :choose a loud music notification volume you like.

Constraints:

Bluetooth Device Connected: (your bluetooth trigger).

With this now, when you click the shutter butter (or the accessory keys which are volume keys), the shutter will fire AND the loud sound will occur.

(Its important to place the constraint, since otherwise it will happen each time you press the volume button on your phone.)
